A Fellow of both the Institute of Quarrying and the Institute of Asphalt Technology, he has held senior management roles in business development, including plant selection and procurement, project management and training, sales and best practice.
Key appointments include Company Director with Hanson and Aggregates Manager for TEAM region, including Continuous Improvement, with HeidelbergCement.
At HeidelbergCement, Andrew was responsible for a detailed analysis of the business on a site-by-site basis, including drilling and blasting, extraction, load and haul, crushing and screening, wet processing, conveying, load-out and stocking, pit balance, and product cost.
At Hanson, he played a senior role in all aspects of planning, construction and design for several new concrete and asphalt plants, one quarry plant installation and numerous aggregate process modifications.
He was also involved in a number of projects, including Opex delivery, sustainability training, and best-practice delivery across all aggregates, asphalt and concrete.
Now that he’s recovered from a smashed ankle, he is able to get back to one of his greatest pleasures in life - ballroom dancing.
