We were engaged by a finance provider to investigate the reasons for non-payment of instalments on an aggregate crushing plant in a granite quarry. Analysis of the production process revealed a mismatch of the equipment supplied, probably due to the supplier being unwilling to turn away an under-financed client, leading to ill-advised cost-cutting.

In this case, the requirement for well-shaped road-stone would not be met by two-stage crushing, due to excessive reduction ratios, and the primary jaw crusher was too small to keep the secondary cone crusher fully fed.

We provided a choice of solutions to meet the customer’s expectations, and assisted in the negotiations between the parties to achieve a satisfactory result, enabling our client to be paid.
